We handle the everyday failures: cracked and blank screens, hard drives that have stopped being recognised, machines that won't power on, laptops that overheat and shut down, broken charging ports and keyboards that have had a drink spilled on them.
Some faults need equipment we don't have here. Board-level component work is a specialist job, and a physically damaged drive needs a clean room to open safely, which we handle through a recovery partner who has one. Either way you'll get a straight answer about what is involved rather than a vague promise.

Common questions
It depends on the fault and the age of the machine. A screen or a drive on a three-year-old laptop is usually worth doing. A motherboard fault on an eight-year-old one usually isn't. We'll tell you which situation you're in before you commit to anything.
Not if we can help it. Where the drive is still readable we move your data across as part of the job. If the drive itself has failed, that becomes a data recovery question and we'll talk you through the options.
We diagnose motherboard faults and will tell you honestly what we find. Replacing a board is often possible; component-level work with a soldering iron is a specialist job and we will point you at someone who does it rather than have a go. On an older machine a motherboard fault is usually the point where replacing the laptop is the better value decision, and we will say so.
Yes, that's one of the most common jobs we do. Cracked, blank and flickering screens are all usually replaceable, and it's very often cheaper than people expect.
Most straightforward jobs are done within a couple of days, sometimes the same day. Anything needing a part ordered in depends on the part, and we'll give you a realistic timescale up front rather than an optimistic one.
